Therapy Dog Milo

Milo

Hi I’m Jennifer and I am so happy you stopped by!

I have been a therapist for over 24 years and have a passion for supporting people to meet their goals with the strengths they already possess or strengths they learn to unearth or by building new strengths! My counseling approach is based on the belief that you are the expert and have the power to elicit change, and I am a guide in your journey.

I work from a Strengths Based Perspective, and use Positive Psychology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy & Cognitive Behavior Therapy to challenge the internal thinking process and encourage positive change. I am trained in Brainspotting to heal traumas and blocks held deeply within oneself.

My experiences have been with adolescents, college students and adults of all ages working through anxiety, depression, trauma and life transitions. I will be your support and guide as you build resilience in working through the difficult experiences you face.

“Milo” is a Therapy Dog in Training! He was born 12/31/2023-a New Year’s Eve pup! He is a mini Double Doodle; Labradoodle and Goldendoodle mix. He has completed 2 of 4 classes and will be certified as a therapy dog in the Fall of 2024.

Milo loves people, sticks and socks! He is a warm and affectionate pup and is looking forward to meeting and working with clients at Building Resilience Counseling!
